Leave Balance Utility

The Leave Balance Utility allows users to reset balances or add to balances on a group of employees for any leave type.

  • Select a leave type from the Leave Type drop-down list. The grid will automatically refresh.
  • Enter or select the date the reset/add will be effective using the Calendar feature in the Effective Date field.
  • Select Reset Balance or Add to Balance.
    • Reset Balance allows a user to set all selected employee’s leave balance to a specific amount. This can be used to Reset the hours of multiple employee’s leave balance to zero, or any specified amount.

    • Add to Balance gives users the ability to add a specific amount to the selected employee(s) existing leave balance. A maximum hour’s limit can be used to prevent the adding of this amount to an employee’s balance from exceeding a set balance.

  • There are (2) two options for filtering the list of employees:
    • By Balance will display a list of all employees with a current balance for the leave type selected. An employee will display even if they do not have an active job.
    • By Job will display a list of all employees with an active job marked for the leave type selected. An employee will display even if their leave balance is currently zero.
  • Check the box(es) of the Employees whose balances you want to reset/add to.
  • Click the adjust balances button. A confirmation message will display.
    • Click the button to return to the Leave Balance Utility form.
